FAQs

Our experienced and friendly teachers are always happy to help answer questions about performing arts. Our principle, Laura, is also happy to speak with you if you have any questions for her. Please take a look at our frequently asked questions below and let us know if you need any further help.

How do I sign my child up?

All you need to do is head to our sign up page. This will take you straight to our protected software for full registration. You can select the class/classes then fill in the details for yourself and your child. You will then receive an email to confirm your place is held and you will receive a direct debit completion form. You will need to complete this direct debit form within 48 hours to secure your place.

How are the fees paid?

The first month of classes will be paid directly at the studio, via card, to ensure enough time for your direct debit to be set up. After your first month, your direct debit will start, and your £15 enrolment fee will be due. You can pay your, one off, enrolment fee directly at the studio and your child will receive a Studio B School of Dance T-Shirt. You only need to pay the enrolment fee once, not per genre. The class fees are paid monthly via direct debit using GoCardless. The fees are for 36 weeks of classes, split over the full 12 months. You will need to give 4 weeks’ notice to stop any direct debit and your child will no longer have a place on that class. All payments directly at the studio must be with a card and no cash is accepted. All ongoing fees will be by direct debit.

Where can I get uniform?

For regulation class wear, bags, T-shirts and onesies, please visit our uniform site. For branded jackets, leggings, crop top and shorts please ask your teacher for an order form at the studio.

Why is uniform mandatory?

We believe a uniform not only gives students a sense of belonging to the dance family but creates an identity in the greater community. A uniform also encourages discipline, diminishes economic and social boundaries, helps resist peer pressure to buy new dance wear, improves attendance and helps us easily identify non-students in the studio.

Do you offer free trials?

Yes, absolutely. You can bring your child along to any of our classes or Bumble Bee classes for a free trial subject to availability. Please get in touch with us directly to book a free trial.

Can my child do more than one class?

Yes, your child can join as many genres as they wish and to create ‘well rounded’ dancers, this is something we strongly encourage. If your child is successful at gaining a place on the competition team, having lots of styles and strengths will only give them more opportunities.

How do we join the competition team?

Our dancers are picked to join the competition team when we see they are ready for this next step. We expect a lot of commitment for this opportunity, and all of this would be explained in an email, directly to you. Please let us know if your child shows a strong interest in joining the team and we will do an in-house assessment and let you know any feedback, aims, progressions and outcome.

What if I need to miss a class?

Notice should be given to the teacher of the absence and reason. Class structure and pricing is carefully managed and due to this unfortunately no refunds or catch-up classes will be possible for missed classes. Teachers will make every effort to ensure that no child would be disadvantaged due to absence.
